Resist economic globalisation and privatisation. Revive UK manufacturing for a balanced economy. Technology transfer to assist poorer countries to develop sustainably.
Zero Waste - by 2020, nothing landfilled or incinerated, everything recycled - would create 50,000 UK jobs.
Radical strategy to stop climate change - currently the biggest threat to Europe's economy. 30% cut in emissions by 2020. Coordinate a Smart Energy strategy at all levels of government.
Rapid phase-out of nuclear power and nuclear reprocessing. Massive investment in energy efficiency and non-nuclear renewables, including support for solar power systems and micro wind turbines for households and public buildings.
Discourage roadbuilding and airport expansions, and redirect funds into integrated public transport plus better provision for disabled people, pedestrians and cyclists.
End UK aviation's £9 billion annual tax-break through tax reforms including an EU-wide aviation fuel tax.
Ban GMOs. Redirect agricultural subsidies to support cheaper organic food plus smaller-scale farms, as these support more jobs and more wildlife per acre.
No single currency. No further centralisation of economic or political power. No EU army.
Nuclear weapon-free EU. No arms sales to aggressive or oppressive regimes. EU to restrain US-UK warmongering and promote peaceful solutions including weapons inspections and peace-keeping forces.
